HDTV trend: Now you can get it cheaper than before
New report from Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing shows that there has been strong growth in HDTV ownership. According to the report over 53 % of US homes now report owning an HDTV. That number is up 18 % since 2008.

PriceGrabber.com surveyed 1,915 customers on their plans to move from standard TVs to HDTVs. Despite the poor economy in the US 73% of customers surveyed said they plan to upgrade to a HDTV within the year.
57% of its customers own an HDTV today and in 2006 only 30% owned a HDTV. LCD is the most popular HDTV technology with 57% of HDTV owners opting for LCD technology. Average selling price for HDTVs has dropped 27% over the last two years.
